~etiquette warning~

Okay, so I'm definitely new to the blogging scene, but there's a lot of blogs that I love and would really like to link to. I don't know any of the people (I'm definitely guilty of cyberstalking, and I'm proud to admit it), but I want to give them credit for the DIY projects that they came up with. Since I'm new, I'm not really sure what to do. I definitely don't know blogging etiquette, but I'm going to try. For those of you who I'm crediting, I hope you don't mind if I link my never-going-to-be-read blog to you. If you do, let me know somehow, and I'll fix the problem, I promise. Actually, on second thought, I think I'll just write the name of the blog, and then, if I learn that I'm doing something wrong, I'll go back and link it. I am, however, all about giving credit where it's due.
Anxiously wondering what's right,
D.

~first post & mission statement~

Like the uber-creative name of my very first post as a fledgling blogger? Me too. I promise, I'm going to try to become more artistic, it's just kind of hard for me. I'll work on it. Anyways, I thought this post could be a mission statement of sorts. So here we go.... my mission statement.
This blog is going to become really important to me, I can already tell. I want this to be a way to express myself creatively. Confession: I have an awful sense of style. I'll admit it. See that pair of Nike shorts that I'm wearing in my profile picture? Those are what I'm wearing, right now. Kind of contradictory, right? Here I am, writing about wanting a better style, and I'm rocking the classic, just got home from the gym look (not that I've been to the gym in months). Running shorts that never get used in the way they were designed to (that is, I never go running...), a ratty 2010 FIFA World Cup t-shirt that started out a nice, dark navy that has faded into a not-so-nice dark mystery blue because it's been washed so much, hair in a grungy bun, no make-up. Basically, my uniform for everyday of this summer, since I don't have anything to do and way too much free time. I'm sitting on my couch, watching a years-old episode of Criminal Minds that's been on my family's DVR for many, many months, just begging to be watched while writing and reading about my perfect sense of style that I'm probably never going to get. This blog is going to be my way of documenting my journey to said sense of style. As a teenager with no job and stingy parents who don't understand why I want to change my non-existent style, almost everything's going to have to be in a DIY-fashion, which is perfectly fine with me. Hello, creativity. Hopefully, we'll get to know each other real well.
Okay, I've rambled enough for one post. Ta-ta for now.

Yours truly,
D.
